English Tutor

Steepletown’s English Tutoring Program is organized to use one-on-one and group instruction along with computer assisted instruction to maximize the learning of standard English.  The English Language Team works together to focus on speaking, reading, comprehension and writing skills.  The goal is to prepare adult students to enter into American society to be equipped to engage in effective communication.  This class will help students meet their life and employment goals.

It is asked that a tutor can commit to completing at least one session; sessions meet throughout the year and are usually 10-12 weeks long, meeting once a week.

The tutor will work closely with the English Language Coordinator, providing feedback on the learning process.  Materials and lesson plans will be provided to the tutor.
